Tony, an architect from Hawaii was a big fan of E. Fay Jones who built our world famous Thorncrown Chapel.  So when it came time to marry his lovely bride…the choice was clear on where to have their ceremony.  After long hours on the plane and a brief cozy sleep, I met Pam and Tony at 7:30 a.m. (yes AM!) at the chapel for an intimate ceremony.  We captured the unusual architecture in an unusual way to document the significance of the day and their admiration for the structure.

red and black place settingsI loved the way red and black were used at last weekend’s wedding of Aaron and Laci.  The place settings they used at the Crescent Hotel conservatory were just stunning.  Equally stunning was Laci and Aaron.  We giggled all day long together.  It was so much fun!

They even had a bright full moon to show at the end of their evening.

I wonder how many times my young brides show off their ring before their wedding day and afterwards.  It’s our natural reaction to ask to see the ring.  I’ve seen so many beautiful sets over the years.  They can be tiny or they can be huge…it never really matters.  What I love best is to measure the smile on the girl who is wearing it instead…that is statement enough.  Can you see what I mean?

A Dog’s Life

May 22, 2008

It’s a Dog’s Life…..special guests at the wedding of Kristen and Dan were their two “spoiled” pets.  If these dogs are any indication of how they will treat their future children…..well…..OMG…their kids will have it made.  Notice how even the dogs are color coordinated for the festivities.

Engaged and lovin’ it!  Kelly and Matt are getting married in 2009 and we just shot their engagement photos.  I think the photo says it all!!!

What happens when two realtors meet, fall in love?  The decide to buy real estate together.  Amanda & Josh from Texas were married at the Thorncrown Chapel and had their reception at the Crescent Hotel.  I caught this moment between the groom and his dad moments before they left for the chapel.  It’s always wonderful to see young men taking the time to say a little prayer and “keeping it real”

They are doubly blessed to have wonderful loving, supportive parents!

Josh & Bessie

After meeting at a Razorbacks game…they fell in love!  This wedding was so much fun to photograph.  The guests were equally fun too.  By the way…those noses are my photo props…I have a bag full of toys just in case.  It’s weddings like this one that reinforce my beliefs about true love and why I love what I do for a living.  Congrats guys..you rock!
